Hi everybody.
I am just wondering if anybody has come across the issue below.
When we install aa New Promethean Panel and connect it with any HDMI lead that is longer than 3mtr. to a HP 250 G7 Laptop we keep getting one of the following errors
No image
Flashing image
Or
Image unsupport
If we use a 3mtr. cable everything is fine. But the problem is the teachers desk is further than 3mtr. from the panel.
The panel works fine with my own HP laptop that I use for installations.
I have tried the school laptop on other HDMI devices and they all work fine.
It is just the HP 250G7 + 5mtr. HDMI lead + Promethean Panel combination that I cannot get to work together.
I am having the same issue in a number of schools.
It does not appear to be anything to do with Win 10 versions or settings
Have spoken to Promethean and they are baffled.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Kindest regards
Joe Halpin

Joe,
It would be worth trying a USB to HDMI adapter on the laptop if you have one handy and connect the HDMI cable to the adapter.
I’ve seen issues with HP laptop HDMI ports too in the past. When we used the USB to HDMI adapter it solved the problem.
