I'd love to hear what primary schools are using as their library systems and how they find it. I'm working with a school using Junior Librarian and it's always an ordeal to add new students, so much that even the instructions on their support page were incorrect last time I tried to follow them. It's taken up much more time than is reasonable so we'd consider changing if one came highly recommended.

Thanks.

Hi

We're using Aladdin for admin and they have a basic but effective library system. If your school is already using Aladdin, it's a handy one. I've written a couple of articles on Anseo.net which talk about the various options

http://www.libramatic.com was developed by a 13 year old and showcased on Junior Dragons Den 18 months ago.

Not using it so can't vouch for it

Hi Brian

I can highly recommend Databiz Solutions

https://databizsolutions.ie/contents/page.php?v=15&u=databiz-library

An Irish company based in Galway, we use their library system as well as their admin and attendance package.

Greay to deal with, always at the end of a phone for tech support.
The system is very easy to use, comes with a bar code scanner for your books and the children are well able to use it themselves.
The pupil database  integrates with their full admin package, but you can easily add users/pupils if you just have the stand alone library package.

Ful installation and training is provided at your school and you can pay for it in instalments if you prefer.
