Hi,

I was just recently asked about OneNote and I've been out of the MS Eco system for so long that I know very little about One Note, other then it's a bit like Evernote just a bit more ...... Well, just a bit more to it.
In a classroom environment, does the teacher see the students notebooks or is it only what a student shares?
I know web content can be clipped and resources created but can these then be shared? Or do you need Moodle sitting between you and the student?
Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance

Hi Hassan,

It depends on the purpose of the Notebook. You can share a notebook with others or keep it private. A teacher can set up a shared notebook and all students can contribute to it and see everybody's contribution. How they contribute depends on the purpose. I've had notebooks where students each had a page to add different resources, and I've had notebooks where there was only one page per topic and all students added the resources they found for each topic. The person who shares the notebook decides who can access the materials. Sharing can be done using Skydrive. We also used Sharepoint but with the new version the sharing doesn't seem to work as well. Our other option was to share notebooks on a local network drive on our server but the updates only appear when the computers are in the network area, so students only had access to new material when they were in the building.

HTH,
