8 Week Digital Media Course for Teachers

Digital Creator Ireland is rolling out an 8 week certified Digital
Media Course for Teachers starting on the 11th September in Blackrock
Education Centre (running every Saturday for 8 weeks). The course is
heavily subsidized and is being offered to the teachers for €100; the
normal cost is €389. The qualification received at the end of it is a
NQAI level 4. This is a super course for anybody who wants to up-skill
their digital media skills for both themselves and to use in the
classroom. In addition they are building in an optional (free) Tutor
course at the end of the 8 weeks where the teachers can participate in
a special one day Train-the-Trainer and become a certified Digital
Creator Tutor at the end of the 8 weeks.

Delighted you enjoyed the Digital Bootcamp. The feedback from the 80+
teachers has been hugely positive, which is great.
The Digital Creator course is heavily subsidized because it is
specifically for teachers. Leave it with us and we will look into it

The course can be offered in any education centre around the
country :) We have the trainers if the interest is there we will
contact the education centers and make the appropriate arrangements.
Is there enough of an interest on a county by county basis? We would
be only to delighted to put them on.

super. We need 13 people per course to make it viable - so we have
taken those names who are interested and in those areas we will try
and create extra interest in those specific counties. Anyone else
interested out there? I think its also important to highlight that
these courses are subsidized and supported by the NCTE. If you need
any info on the current dublin offerings all the info can be found by
clicking on the "Teachers Course" tab on www.digitalcreator.ie

parents' house but, logistically speaking, it won't work with working
full time, having 4 small children and living 100 miles from the
course venue.
I could probably manage it it it was spread over a longer period of time.
From my strange location in the West of Cavan (yet teaching in
Monaghan town), a course in either Monaghan, Cavan or
Carrick-on-Shannon Education Centres would be suitable.
