Computer Science is rapidly reshaping our second level-classrooms — and the demand for qualified teachers has never been higher.
The
Higher Diploma in Science in Computing at TU Dublin is a Department of Education-funded programme designed to empower second-level teachers to deliver
Leaving Certificate Computer Science (LCCS) with confidence. Whether you're currently teaching LCCS or planning to pivot into this exciting subject area, this course offers a
recognised pathway to Teaching Council registration in Computer Science.
Based on TU Dublin’s renowned graduate conversion programme (running successfully for over 15 years), the Higher Diploma equips educators with critical skills in programming,
data analytics, systems design, and much more — all grounded in practical, classroom-ready applications. It’s hands-on, high-impact, and designed specifically with teachers in mind.
