Recruitment Request (Message for CESI-CS):

Dear CESI-CS colleagues,

Irene Stone, a doctoral student at Dublin City University, is conducting a research study on the use of ChatGPT to support programming learning at the upper post-primary level. She is looking for approximately 4-6 Computer Science teachers to participate in this study.

Participants will be provided with a set of heuristics (“how to do” guidelines), co-created with students, for use in situations where generative AI tools like ChatGPT might be available when students are learning to program in Python. They will then be asked to share their perspectives on how they might adapt and adopt these heuristics in a focus group discussion with her, conducted via Zoom. The time of the focus group would be arranged with the interested teachers and should take no longer than 30 minutes.
