Google Classroom for entire year group

Good morning, 

Just wondering if any schools out there are using Google Classroom for entire year groups? I've come across many schools using it for announcements etc.  Is there a way to add many staff to a classroom without having to add them one by one? It's easy enough to bulk add the students (share the join code or email the link to the class). But it doesn't seem to be possible to do the same when adding teachers.

You can add a group to coteach Google Classroom so if you add the teacher/staff group they will all get an invite. 

Important note: only the first 50 teachers to accept the invitation can co-teach the class, this is a hard limit on classroom teachers. 

An alternative would be to set up a user such as 'announ...@tarbertcs.ie' and create/share all the classess from this account. Share this account for the purposes of the school wide / year wide announcements. If teachers regularly post to whole year groups / whole school you can add them also for convienience. 

A very hand feature of having a whole school / year group classroom is if you attach a google form where you want a survey completed you can see at a glance in 'your work' who had left to do it and send reminders.
