Hi all,
I've been asked to share the following message with you about a tech project-based initiative that one of my Leaving Certificate students is setting up, called Bootstrap. Here are some details:
Bootstrap is a free online program for secondary school students who want to build something real. Students pick an idea, a web app, a game, a hardware project, anything, and build it with the aim of turning it into an actual product or business. Once they've shipped it with a live URL, gotten 5 real users, and recorded a short 2 minute pitch explaining how it works and how it could make money, they submit it and receive prizes including OpenAI credits, Stripe credits, and domain vouchers. It's designed for students aged 18 and under, takes roughly 6-10 hours, and is entirely self directed. Students can work at their own pace with no deadlines. It's a great fit for TY students or anyone with an interest in coding, entrepreneurship, or product design. More info and sign ups at Bootstrap (http://bootstrap-production-1e67.up.railway.app/).
Some of you may know a teenager (or maybe you have students) who might be interested. There's an expression of interest form on the website linked. No obligation if they fill in the form. It's just to gather numbers interested.
