Hi all,

       CS week is almost here! As part of the CS week, CSinc is providing two teacher workshops. You can find all of the event listings for CS Week HERE

1) Teaching Computer Science - the good, the bad and the ugly (pedagogy, methods and activities)

Date and Time: 11/10/2214:00 - 15:00

Aimed at: Teachers/student teachers
Delivered by: Keith Quille and Roisin Faherty

Overview: A high-level overview of how teaching CS might differ (for good or bad) from a traditional classroom. We will look at pedagogical approaches, methodologies and activities to provide a high-level "quick start" guide to teaching CS for LCCS.

2) Human-Centered AI - let's look beyond the self-driving cars
Date and Time: 11/10/2216:00 - 17:00

Aimed at:  Teachers/student teachers
Delivered by: Keith Quille and Roisin Faherty

Overview: A session on the misconceptions associated with AI (both in the classroom and in everyday life), with some brief summaries on how AI and machine learning work, and most importantly how it impacts humans, specifically bias.
