Hello Cerner experts,

in the resources that I find in the sandbox, there is usually a "meta" field containing a "lastUpdated" subfield.

In production, when a resource needs to have information modified, is the original resource modified (with meta.lastUpdated updated accordingly as well), or is a new resource (with new fhirId) created instead? Or does it vary with the provider/institution?

Hello,

On PATCH/update calls, the lastupdated field will be updated and the versionID may change as well.

The feature should be consistent across all health systems.
