Hello,

my group is developing a confidential EHR app, and I've tried requesting various resources for Nancy Smart from the patient scope.
I am not able to get Account, Appointment, and Coverage resources (and I also do not see them listed in the Cerner sandbox app portal of the Cerner sandbox), even though the Cerner code website (links below) seems to indicate that one should be able to request them, unless I'm mistaken.

Can we access these three resources in the Cerner sandbox? If so, how?
Thanks,

Hello Fenil,

I see -- and are Communication, ChargeItem, Schedule, and Slot also not available? I presume that Schedule and Slot aren't, since Slot depends on Appointment and Schedule depends on Slot. For Communication and ChargeItem, I've been a bit confused trying to find out where exactly one might find references to id's for these resources inside other patient-accessible resource documents. It sounds to me as though Communication pertains more to records of communications to and from a health provider that don't necessarily involve the patient, while ChargeItem can be requested if you know that it is associated with an Encounter and you supply the Encounter id via the "context" parameter in the request, but (at least in the test data) I can't tell from the Encounter document whether it is automatically associated with a ChargeItem or not.
Thanks,

Francesca

The Communication resource is a conveyance of information from one entity, a sender, to another entity, a receiver. The information includes encoded data and optionally a related Patient and a related Encounter.
Not all resources are connected by reference to other resource.

Understood -- but then if I wanted to find all the Communication documents associated with a patient (e.g., subject=Patient/1234567), how would I query for them if I do not know the ids of those Communications? (The same question can also apply to ChargeItem, Schedule, and Slot as well.)

It may not be possible.

And in the Cerner sandbox,  should we be able to get Practitioner, Location, and Organization documents? I tried and my requests failed with status code 403 (see an example url below), and from what I've read, I thought that these weren't accessible for patient read access, but I just wanted to verify.

While registering your Application, Practitioner, Location, and Organization are only available for user scopes. Hence patient/Location.read and more, won't work.
