i'm using an app that get the position of a patient in an hospital. the app is using beacons to get position.
position can be latitude, longitudebit mostly it is a name like 'bedroom', 'radiology' etc...
i now want to push this position into Cerner.
it corresponds to my needs.

but my issue is when looking at FHIR APIs, i'm not able to retrieve a way to push a position into the system.

if someone knows how to do it, it would be great.
thank you !!

Hi Jerome,

It sounds like the FHIR resource you are looking for is Location: https://www.hl7.org/fhir/location.html

Unfortunately, we do not currently support writing or reading locations through our FHIR APIs.  For a list of supported resources, you can review our documentation at https://fhir.cerner.com/.

Thanks!

Avery

Thank you Avery. So I need to use HL7 directly and not FHIR, correct?

Hi Jerome,

Unfortunately, this group's focus is on the SMART on FHIR implementation and we do not have the depth of experience with HL7 interfaces to accurately answer your question in this forum. As Avery has mentioned we do not support reading or writing locations through our API and we cannot speak to whether using an HL7 interface would work.

My apologies,
Ben (Cerner)
