Hi Cerner Community,
Does FHIR define a resource or extension that records if the patient is an ICU encounter? Or is there a way to classify a patient as a ICU admitted patient?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Best,
Sidd

Hello Siddharth,
The is no specific resource that records patient ICU encounter. You can use 'Encounter' resource 'Location' field to know where the patient got admitted. If the patient is admitted into ICU, some clients (not all) specify that in the location field.
