Hi there,

I am currently trying to integrate a blood glucose meter with the Cerner EHR system using Mirth Connect. As part of this integration, I need to convert the blood glucose readings into HL7 format.

I am wondering if Cerner has a specific HL7 format that they require for blood glucose readings, or if they have any recommendations for how to format this data. This information would help me ensure that my integration meets Cerner's requirements.

Thank you in advance for any guidance or information you can provide!

Best regards,

Hello everyone,

I am currently working on integrating a blood glucose meter with the Cerner system, and I plan to use Mirth Connect to handle the HL7 protocol conversion. I was wondering if anyone knows whether Cerner has a specific HL7 format that they require for blood glucose meter data submissions.

I have found the "Incoming Results from Lab Instruments Interface Technical Specification" document on the Epic System website, which outlines the HL7 format for blood glucose meter data submissions to their system. However, I have not been able to locate a similar document on the Cerner website.

Does anyone know if Cerner has a similar document available, or if they have any specific requirements for blood glucose meter data submissions via HL7?

Thank you in advance for your help.
