Hi Muzammal,

As part of our recent release of the R4 FHIR spec. You are now able to create an Encounter using the API. You can read our documentation on fhir.cerner.com[1]

Thank you!

Thanks for the answer.

I have created a testing app of type dstu2, i am using the fhir-client.js in my app.Now the question is how i can call the " https://fhir.cerner.com/millennium/r4/encounters/encounter/ " (r4) service to create an encouter. Please guide me.

Thanks,
Muzammal

Hello Muzammal Majeed, Good Morning :)
A good place to start to understand how the authentication flow works and how you can call the resources, we have a tutorial which walks the user's through all the steps.
To understand how the authorization call needs to be made please take a look at : https://fhir.cerner.com/authorization/

The tutorial should provide you with a good start in calling the Observation and Patient resource.
You can then extend this to call the R4 encounter resource in your app following the resource details from https://fhir.cerner.com/millennium/r4/encounters/encounter/

Thanks,
Shriniket

Hi Muzammal,

To add on to what Shriniket stated, you will not be able to authorize with the Encounter.write resource at this time as the developer portal does not currently support R4. This is a known gap, as described in the announcement. We apologize and we are working to resolve this.

Thanks,
Ben (Cerner)

Hi Muzammal,

You should now be able to authorize your app for the Encounter.write resource.

Thanks,
Ben (Cerner)
