Hello,
Can anybody give some information about string datatype in FHIR for example HumanName.family
https://hl7.org/fhir/r4/datatypes-definitions.html#HumanName.family
Is it possible to have 500 chars family name or there are restrictions?

Hi Oleksiy Yemelin,
Strings returned from Cerner's FHIR server meet the specification of the HL7 FHIR String datatype:
http://hl7.org/fhir/r4/datatypes.html#string
Thanks,
Max (Cerner)

Hi Oleksiy,
When POSTing Patient names, Cerner does have a limit of 100 characters. I noticed we do not call that out on
http://fhir.cerner.com/millennium/r4/individuals/patient/#body-fields
- we'll make a documentation update!
Thanks,
Max (Cerner)
