Hello,

I am working to begin implementing the Cerner FHIR APIs to facilitate a patient portal integration. The idea is that users will be able to search their health system or provider and be redirected to login with their Cerner credentials to authorize pulling their FHIR records.

Before we begin development, we were unsure of a few details of the API.
1. Does this API support all care provider endpoints using Cerner's EHR?
2. Do users have to use different sign-in screens for individual endpoints, or can they all be done with the same Cerner sign-in page? We've seen that MyChart and Athena Health sometimes have unique sign-in pages for individual hospitals.
3. We will be testing in the sandbox environment, but what is the process like to work with live production EHR data? Is there a required approval process, and does it cost us a fee?

Thanks,
Aditya

Hello Aditya,

Are you developing a Patient Access (Direct to Consumer) App?

Thanks,
Fenil

Great!
All the resources (APIs) which support Patient Access would be available for your App to use. https://code.cerner.com/apiaccess
Yes, users would have a different sign-in screen for each individual endpoint.
Direct to Consumer Application does not incur a fee. Once you register your patient App in code-Console, your App would be auto enabled against all of our endpoints. The list of endpoints can be found here - https://github.com/cerner/ignite-endpoints

Thanks,
Fenil
