Questions around SSN

Hi Team,

We are currently use FHIR R4 Patient API for search patients.  I believe I asked below question a few years before but want cycle back and confirm if anything changed.
1. The Patient search API allow search patients by full SSN but does not allow search patient by only last 4 SSN digits.

2. The search response will not return SSN because of security reasons. 

Can you confirm if that's still the current design?

Correct, that is still the design of Patient search!
