How to add or create patient in FHIRPLAY Powerchart

• Issue Summary: I was able to create a patient resource in cerner public sandbox, however I don't see the same patient in Cerner milllenium Powerchart (FHIRPLAY)? Can someone please help me understanding this?

Hi Supresh,

When you create the patient through FHIR, there is no encounter tied to the patient. The patient will need an encounter to be seen in Powerchart.

So if I understood correctly, as per this thread https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/cerner-fhir-developers/F6OBwfUju-o/VDwnuj3UBAAJ we can not create encounter resource for a patient. Hence there is no way we can create new patient in cerner millenium powerchart? Is this correct?

Hi Supresh,

The patient is created in Millennium when calling the FHIR Patient create endpoint.

The patient's chart won't show up in Powerchart until the patient has an Encounter. Currently, we don't support creating an Encounter through FHIR.
