Append Diagnostic Report to Patient Record?

Can FHIR be used to append a diagnostic report to a patient record? Or can it only be retrieved? 

More broadly, I am studying whether I can create a system that connects an imaging center to referring physicians' Cerner EHRs and can append results to patient files automatically via FHIR.

We do not currently support writing DiagnosticReport data. All functionality supported is documented on our documentation site: http://fhir.cerner.com/millennium/dstu2/diagnostic/diagnostic-report/
