Accessing Practitioner resource for logged in user

Hi,

I have a provider facing application and after logging in, I would like to retreive the practitioner resource for the current logged in user. I have selected practitioner read scope in the user. However, when I add user.read() and wait for it to be done, the page never finishes loading. The smart.patient.read works as expected but smart.user.read never finishes.

Does anyone has a sample application that reads the practitioner resource for the user?
