Hey All!
I was wonderin whether there is a precedent for deploying PyTorch models and running them on Cerner Data. Ideally, I would hold the PyTorch model on an external server and communicate wiht it via a REST request, but i dont know if that breaks data privacy laws. Is this allowed? If not, how have you guys deployed pytorch models locally within the Cerner ecosystem?
Thanks,
Etash

I don't know how much has been done much around ML for FHIR data, but this would be under HIPAA regulations. We also do not have bulk data export, so it would likely not match your needs. I am not aware what is used in our Intelligence department for neural learning.

Dear Aaron,
Thanks for the response. Is there any precedent for deidentifying the data and then using an external server for computation?
Thank you,
Etash

Not through Cerner's implementation of FHIR, no.
