Hello,
When using the communication endpoint to send a secure message/email, is it possible to put an attachment on this message? If so, can an example be given as to how to do this?
Thanks,
Brent

Hello Brent,
You can use the Payload section of the Communication resource to attach any content that is part of the Communication.

Above in the answer it was posted:
content must be supplied as a contentAttachment with contentType and data defined
contentType can be set to:
application/xhtml+xml
text/plain
But this seems to imply (and my testing so far has shown) that the encoded data is inline to the message, rather than being sent as a file attachment. Millennium/PowerChart message center does support file attachments, but it seems as if it is not possible to send file attachments (such as .pdfs or images) via the FHIR Communication endpoint. Is this a true statement?
