Hi,

We have seen that multiple coding systems in route  of dosage in MedicationAdministration resource. 

Is there any reason to give multiple coding system in route of dosage?

Should we expect both systems(http://snomed.info/sct & http://ncimeta.nci.nih.gov) in production server also?

Hi Nikson,

Yes, you would see both systems in production. Usually, the use of multiple systems helps improve interop (a system may only understand one or the other). In this case, we've seen requests for both snomed and the nci coding in profiles that cover the FHIR medication resources.
