Multi-Grid preconditioner

Anybody tried Multi-Grid preconditioner for linear solver (conjugate gradient) of bundle adjustment?

There have been some attempts but nothing has come off it. 

Geometric multigrid won't work since there is no geometric structure. 

Algebraic multigrid may work, but I do not know of a good and fast scheme, if you try something that works, I would be very interested.
