I've found it to be really helpful for my vocab memorization to use the Flickr image search in the item editor to attach a picture to the English Association to help me more quickly select the right answer. Here's my latest set on French vocab: http://cerego.com/sets/734058

Images also serve as a kind of visual mnemonic for me: Sous (Under) has "Under the bridge" as a visual; Sur (On top of) has "On top of the world" as a visual. These have helped me a lot in my practice and memorization.

Curious to hear what other ways I could improve my retention of foreign-language vocab. Let me know what works best for you. :-)

I havn't been using cerego for languages, but for Biology it is really helpful when information is in short concise bursts. I've found if i clump too much information together at the same time I just can't remember it. I've also found that if your reviewing items that are similar in context at the same time, they are easier to recall and answer. Idk just some food for thought i guess.

I use Cerego for Biology too, and I completely agree about creating succinct items, and aligning them to an overall learning objective (e.g. mapping the regions of the brain). Do you feel your memory is improved when all the items are similar to one another (i.e. an entire set of Associations) or when you use a combination of different item types?
