NOVELLI DIOGENE, CERCHIAMO OBIETTORI E OPPOSITORI DELLE GUERRE!

TRA GLI EURODEPUTATI (MA ANCHE TRA GLI ATTIVISTI DEL PACIFISMO).

 

I DISARMISTI ESIGENTI, E COLLABORATORI (WILPF ITALIA), SI SONO DATI APPUNTAMENTO DALL'ITALIA, OGGI A STRASBURGO, DAVANTI AL PALAZZO DEL PARLAMENTO EUROPEO, PER CONTESTARE LA MAGGIORANZA URSULA: SI VA A FORMARE SULLA BASE DELLA GUERRA COME ELEMENTO COSTITUENTE.

E PER GUERRA INTENDIAMO INNANZITUTTO IL CONFLITTO AD ALTA INTENSITA' CHE VEDE CONTRAPPOSTI GRANDI ESERCITI SUL TERRITORIO UCRAINO.

LA NATO FINORA E' NELLA RETROVIA CONTRO LA RUSSIA: MA FINO A QUANDO?

IL PRESIDIO ANDRA' AVANTI DAL 16 AL 19 LUGLIO, DALLE ORE 9:30 ALLE 13:00, CIOE' PER TUTTI I GIORNI IN CUI SI SVOLGE LA SESSIONE INAUGURALE DELLA DECIMA LEGISLATURA.

 

Vogliamo essere gli occhi puntati sull'istituzione per conto del "popolo della pace" che rischia di essere gabbato da chi è stato eletto, questo giugno, nelle varie liste, proponendo di impegnarsi sul tema.

Spesso sulla base di una mistificazione: la "pace giusta" che sarebbe frutto della vittoria militare dell'Ucraina contro la Russia.

Nel periodo storico in cui non sono più concepibili "guerre giuste", considerata la potenza degli armamenti (la possibilità di escalation verso la guerra nucleare!) e l'interdipendenza economica e sociale di tutto il consorzio umano.

Il compito comune dell'umanità intera, che deve imparare a percorrere il cammino della nonviolenza, è la pace con la Natura, condizione della pace tra gli esseri umani!

 

Ma, con la nostra presenza e testimonianza, vogliamo anche essere la coscienza critica di un movimento che, per la sua credibilità e serietà, deve imparare a mobilitarsi in modo vertenziale, quando vengono prese le decisioni che attivano le macchine amministrative che muovono le cose.

Se si batte e ribatte sulla pace come prima urgenza, non si può essere assenti dai fori proprio nei momenti in cui il problema, in modo esplicito e ufficiale, è affrontato in modo decisivo!

Riportiamo sotto la lettera che abbiamo indirizzato ai nuovi eurodeputati della X Legislatura europea

 

Dear elected Members of the European Parliament,

 

In the face of a sleepwalking Europe that risks to fall into the abyss of World War III the future of  our continent is in your hands. The slogan of „just peace“ erroneously suggests that peace can be obtained through military victory, but in fact war only increases the risk of a nuclear conflict,  while nuclear strikes are constantly being threatened by the warring parties. 

 

We urge you not to vote for leaders who seek confrontation. The war will not be stopped by escalation, but only by deescalation.

 

Therefore we ask you to create a group of Parliamentarians opposed to war. A  group united by conscience, i. e. on an intimate and deep persuasion of each individual member that human life and the preservation of the global ecosystem on Earth are the most important values that must lead our political decisions. Considering that this group would be independent from political groups and the time-consuming difficulty of organising consultations an immediately viable intermediate step could be the creation of an informal intergroup of war-opposers. 

 

The group could take up its work on the basis of the following aims:

 

1) No to the use of nuclear power, whether military or civil

2) Conversion of expenditure from the military to social investments (common and public goods) as well as ecological transition: Saying no to war means also to say no to social war through the use of „weapons“ like privatising public goods or increasing public debt 3) Transition to a defence strategy basing on progressive disarmament and non-violent civilian resistance - with a long-term view to dissolution of military alliances and creation of social justice as means of war-prevention 4) Automatic recognition of all war objectors and deserters as political refugees in all EU member states During these days or later we are available for any kind of further information and are looking forward to meeting you.
