Dear Cerambot,
Please can you advise how the jumpers on the Ramps 1.4 affect the Cerambot Pro Extruder Electronics module when driven from the step/dir from ramps?
ie: I have deduced that the Module with No Jumpers connected on the Ramps 1.4 (below the mks breakout board), gives me 1/16 micro-stepping.
Given the 1:20 gearbox, and 2.5mm pitch of the screw, it means we need 25,600 microsteps to push the pluger 1mm!
That is extremely high for the Ramps 1.4 with the ATMEGA 8K chip.
Please advise how I can set the microstepping to :
- 1/8 microsteps
- 1/4 microsteps,
- 1/2 microsteps,
- full step
modes?
This would be extremely helpful to be able to avoid double/quad stepping on the Marlin Firmware, which doesn't lead to the best results on any stepper.
If I'm able to get the CeramBot control board to work on full step, or even 1/2 step mode, it would not be so demanding on the 8bit electronics.
