Chrome doesn't show pdf files

Hallo, I installed cerabox on a project some months ago and I was able to have it working for what I needed.

Now I see that Chrome doesn't show pdf files anymore, and developer panel reports "Resource interpreted as Document but transferred with MIME type application/pdf: "http://localhost/(pdf document URL)""

I have Chrome pdf viewer disabled and use Adobe Reader instead as a plugin (switching to Chrome viewer I get "The requested content cannot be loaded or might not be supported. Please try again later.").

In Firefox all is still working well.

I guess something has changed with some Chrome update. Any solution to this?
