Me and a friend have a couple of fixes for cequel but the PR's are dangling for a while. Who's maintaining the gem and releases?

There are no active maintainers of this repo, atm. I have, in the past, maintained it but i no longer have the capacity (see https://github.com/cequel/cequel/issues/417 for details). If you are interested in maintaining it, i can invite you to admin the repo.
