Title: Engineers wanted! Factory automation startup, Tokyo, Japan
We are an industrial robotics automation startup MUJIN in Tokyo (http://www.mujin.co.jp/en/) looking for a few experienced and motivated full time engineers to help design and implement our revolutionary robotics platform. After two years of hard work, we currently work with 5 out of top 10 manufacturers and support more than half of the robot brands in Japan. The company is fully funded and we are looking for a few more key members to join our small and elite team.
Position 1: Front-end web developer
Required skills:
- Passionate about making robust systems that meet strict industrial standards
- javascript: jQuery, backbone.js
- html/css
- python
- Have contributed and worked on at least one open-source project.
- Experience with web framework, such as Django
- Experience with database, such as PostgreSQL
- Experience with development under Linux
Good to have skills:
- Browser UI design
- WebGL
- Japanese language
Position 2: Backend web developer
Required skills:
- Passionate about making robust systems that meet strict industrial standards
- python
- C++
- Have contributed and worked on at least one open-source project.
- Solid grasp of web framework, such as Django
- Solid grasp of database, such as PostgreSQL
- Power user of Debian Linux (basic networking, process management, scripting).
- Solid grasp of computer science fundamentals.
- Experience with process-level and thread-level parallelization,
- Experience designing and working with complex systems and their internals.
- Experience with build and deployment processes and software quality control. Such as jenkins, gitlab, trac, docker, etc.
Good to have skills:
- javascript
- Front-end frameworks
Position 3: Robotics software engineer
Required skills:
- Passion and love for programming and building the most robust systems on the market.
- python
- C++.
- Solid grasp of computer science fundamentals.
- Have contributed and worked on at least one open-source project.
- Experience with Debian Linux (basic networking, process management, scripting).
- Experience working with robotics applications.
- Experience designing and working with complex systems and their internals.
- Experience with parallelization algorithms to squeeze the last bit of performance on a single system.
Good to have skills:
- Knowledge of motion planning and control
- Experience with improving system-level robustness,
- Experience with robot system integration,
- Experience with machine vision and calibration,
- Experience with web frameworks and databases,
- Experience with WebGL powered browser user interfaces.
