Then at around 3-4 pm, we can arrive Stanford and have some discussion, entrepreneurs’ talk, dinner together.Previously, I told you about change the day to 7th, but owing to the company visit, we have to put our time at Stanford at 6th afternoon and evening, so sorry for that:(Would that be convenient for u all? Just tell me if you have any concerns.Btw, it’s the 小年 xiaonian in the lunar calendar!Best,Vanora--Best Regards,褚丹彤北京大学城市与环境学院北京大学光华管理学院双学位北大环球视野(GVI)项目 主席北京大学学生国际交流协会(SICA)Dantong Chu (Vanora)Department of city and environment, Peking UniversitySecond Major, Guanghua School of Management, Peking UniversityPresident of Global View Initiative(GVI)Students’ International Communication Association(SICA), Peking UniversityE-mail:vanora0606@gmail.com在 2014年1月17日 星期五,下午12:29,Haotian Sun 写道:
Hi Vanora,I don't have many classes on Friday. It would be better. One day is kind of too much for Stanford. How about this. I can show you around in the morning, say 9:00 to 11:00, and you can walk around on the campus or do some shopping in Stanford Shopping Center (A big mall, 5min driving from Stanford). We can move the discussion before dinner around 4pm.We may have some grad students from ACSSS to join the discussion. So far I don't know how many student entrepreneurs I can get since they are also doing full time jobs. But I can get a Stanford originated startup called Palm Drive for sure. I'm working for them now haha.Best,HaotianOn Jan 16, 2014, at 8:19 PM, 褚丹彤 Vanora <vanor...@gmail.com> wrote:Hi Haotian,Thanks for the quick reply! If we change your schedule to 7th, the Friday, would it be more convenient? The student entrepreneurs would be great! But I have one concern: We will be at Stanford at morning that day, so what about the morning and afternoon? We may let our liaison person arrange a panel discussion. What kind of other activities will you recommend us to do during the daytime?Big thanx!Vanora--Best Regards,褚丹彤北京大学城市与环境学院北京大学光华管理学院双学位北大环球视野(GVI)项目 主席北京大学学生国际交流协会(SICA)Dantong Chu (Vanora)Department of city and environment, Peking UniversitySecond Major, Guanghua School of Management, Peking UniversityPresident of Global View Initiative(GVI)Students’ International Communication Association(SICA), Peking UniversityE-mail:vanora0606@gmail.com在 2014年1月17日 星期五,下午12:14,Haotian Sun 写道:
Hi Vanora,Since most students have classes on weekdays, Feb. 6th may be not a perfect day for your trip to Stanford. I may be able to show you around but I'll be in class from 9am to 11am and 4pm to 5pm.As for professors, it's kind of hard to get them in such panel discussion even for ACSSS. How about inviting some student entrepreneurs into this discussion? I, personally, know some of them around Stanford. We can have a 1-2 hrs discussion during or after dinner. What do you think?Best,HaotianOn Jan 16, 2014, at 6:54 PM, 褚丹彤 Vanora <vanor...@gmail.com> wrote:Hi Haotian,Wow, nice study program, sounds cool!We will be at Stanford at Feb 6th, a Thursday. The whole day will be on the campus:)Also a small request, is it possible for you to invite a professor specified in business or finance, we can have a panel discussion together? The theme of our journey is Think Big and Make It, related to innovation, startup, social entrepreneurship, etc. If we can have a small session about this topic, that would be really great!Best,Vanora--Best Regards,褚丹彤北京大学城市与环境学院北京大学光华管理学院双学位北大环球视野(GVI)项目 主席北京大学学生国际交流协会(SICA)Dantong Chu (Vanora)Department of city and environment, Peking UniversitySecond Major, Guanghua School of Management, Peking UniversityPresident of Global View Initiative(GVI)Students’ International Communication Association(SICA), Peking UniversityE-mail:vanor...@gmail.com在 2014年1月17日 星期五,上午12:53,Haotian Sun 写道:

Meanwhile, would you be able to detail the kind of activities the delegation might hope to experience by engaging with ACSSS? Also, by "next February" do you mean this year or 2015?Dear Bao Jia,Great hearing from you! It's an honor for ACSSS, our Chinese student association at Stanford, to host friends from Peking University. I have cced our current co-president, Evan and Haotian, who would be able to appoint the right person for the reception work.
Cheers,

I am writing today to enquire whether the Chinese student association at Stanford would like to host a group of very outstanding students (business school, law, econ etc) from Peking University. I graduated from there in 2013 and a group of my juniors (cc-ed in the email) would be leading a delegation in the West Coast next February. They would love the opportunity to network and get to know the Chinese students at Stanford. Attached is some information about the program.I hope the holiday season was good for yourself and I look forward to hearing from you. With thanks,Bao Jia
