Council for Diversity and Innovation in collaboration with Unreal Tece LLP, is pleased to announce W2M-204: Field Methods for Speech Technologies (Multilingual), an intensive one-week immersion course bridging the gap between linguistic fieldwork and AI development. This program offers participants a unique opportunity to work directly with local communities in West Bengal to create high-quality speech datasets and train Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) models for Sadri and Kurux.

Course Details:

• Dates: June 18 – 23, 2026
• Venue: Prism-NB (Uttaran), Madarihat, Alipurduar, West Bengal
• Focus: Multilingual Speech Technologies (Sadri & Kurux)
• Early Application Deadline: 29 March 2026

Course Fees & Assistance:
The fee is all-inclusive (accommodation, meals, materials, speaker payments, and field visits):

• Community Members: Free (first 5 per language)
• Students/Researchers: ₹12,000
• Faculty/Industry Professionals: ₹25,000
