Dear all
Council for Strategic and Defense Research and UnReaL-TecE LLP
are co-organising a Virtual Workshop on "Fundamentals of Machine
Learning for Harmful Language Processing" on July 24 - August 3, 2023.
It is mainly aimed towards the students and researchers in Linguistics
or other disciplines of humanities and social sciences working in the
area. We will cover the absolute basics of machine learning and how it
is employed for the specific case of automatically identifying
aggressive, offensive and harmful text (with special reference to Indian
languages). Although our focus will be on dealing with harmful texts
and automatically classifying those, the techniques to be discussed in
the workshop will be applicable more generally to any kind of
classification task in any language.
The participants are
expected to have a good knowledge of programming in Python, some basic
idea of Linear Algebra (they should at least understand matrices,
vectors, matrix multiplication, etc) and Calculus (they should have
heard of differentiation, integration, etc).
If you are
interested and have the requisite skills then please contact us
directly. The contact details are on the attached poster. More details
about the workshop content, etc will be available on our project website - https://lnkd.in/dxD_GA9D
