Hi everybody,

PyLing is back! 📢

Kindly consider giving it a wide publicity among those who might be interested!

We are very happy to announce that the Centre for Transdisciplinary Studies and Department of Linguistics, K.M. Institute of Hindi and Linguistics, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra in collaboration with Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore and Panlingua Language Processing LLP, New Delhi is back with the second iteration of Python Programming for Linguists (PyLing).

The second workshop in this series will feature two tracks - Basic and Intermediate - and it will be organised virtually from December 14 - 26, 2020. More details about application, eligibility, details about classes and other logistic details are available (or will be soon made available) on the workshop website - https://sites.google.com/view/pyling/home

The deadline for application is December 5, 2020 - please note that since we have a really tight schedule this time, so we may not be able to extend the deadline for application and please consider it a strict deadline.

Max number of participants: Approx. 50 per track. Please note that the eligible applicants will be selected on the first-come-first-served basis and the application may close before the deadline in case the maximum number of applicants have been selected before the deadline for application. So applicants are requested to apply at the earliest.

For any further queries / information about the workshop, please feel free to contact us on linguis...@gmail.com or coling...@gmail.com

NB: IIT-KGP is organising a short-term course on 'Minority Languages of India' during the same period (starting Dec 7, 2020). We understand that some of the participants would be interested in both the courses and as such we will ensure that the timing of the sessions of the two courses remain different throughout, thereby, allowing people to attend both the courses.
