I really don't know what would be involved in a co-op, but I figured
this mailing list would be more effective to someone in 2007 replying
to someone's 2005 forum post and nothing coming of it. But while I've
got the mic I'll ask some questions that might need to be asked:
Would it be better for a co-op to purchase B100 in large quantities
from somewhere nearby and move that fuel to a more central location so
that others could get it? I don't know the current commercial price of
B100 but it seems the only advantage to this method is keeping us from
having to drive pretty far east for B100.
Or are there enough interested people and is it feasible to build our
own processor system and work together to produce B100 at the central
location where we store our processor?
Another thing to do is to hold a workshop on BD production where we
assemble a few personal processors for individuals to take home. I
know there are some people from the forum who produce their own, but a
lot of them didn't list their email address. We wouldn't actually be
sharing fuel, and it might not help those who don't have the desire to
produce their own, but it would be a co-op of knowledge.
Anyways, I'm just trying to kick around some ideas and get people
thinking.
