We look forward to seeing you for this week's "Food Systems Friday" Webinar -
COVID-19 Adaptations and School Gardens.

School gardens play essential roles in connecting kids to real food. We are months into the COVID-19 crisis. Organizations that support school and community gardens are responding to community needs differently. Most have had phased approaches: developing online curriculum and activities, providing adult access to gardens, building coalitions to address community food security, and keeping kids engaged in outdoor learning. With plants in the ground at many schools and community gardens and kids now mostly out of school, it is time to see how community and school gardens are innovating. As our plants grow through the summer and we look towards the fall, join us to learn how organizations are adapting to our new reality.

Dr. Robin Currey, Director of the MS in Sustainable Food Systems program at Prescott College, will facilitate a panel discussion with the following guests:

Christine Gall
Garden Education Coordinator, Burlington School Food Project
Education Specialist, KidsGardening

Laura Thompson
Assistant Director of Strategic Alliances, Big Green

Marie Dennan
Program Manager, Big Green Memphis

Josh McGuire
Western Regional Program Manager, Big Green

Lyndsey Waugh
Executive Director, Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation
