To Swim or Not to Swim

Thursdays samples were collected right after some heavy rains and today's results were pretty yucky, with Avila Beach and the creek mouth posting numbers in the 1000 to 1100 range, and we have a chance of showers Saturday and Sunday. High tide on Sunday is at 1:06, so at 11 the water from the creek will be pushed in along the beach.   :-(

If it is not raining at 10:15 I'm going to head to the beach to sit in the sun and see some of my friends. I'm putting the swimming part at not likely.

The Santa Cruz Rough Water Swim is in mid-July. 1 mile, no wetsuits, 55 degree water. Should be sunny.

I want to put together a Avila Dolphins showing this year.

If you look at past years’ photos and results, they appear to have a wetsuit division.
