Fellow Woodworkers,

The 8 July meeting will be held at Gary Lang's shop located at 435 NW Helmholtz Way, Redmond from 7-9 PM.  From Hwy 126 turn north on Helmholtz Way, pass Antler Ave on rt., 1/4 mile pass white home on the west side of highway, take the next driveway on the west side.

Ken Vetterick will be demonstrating his new multi-router.  The multi router is horizontally mounted and can perform  various functions such as mortises and tenons that are difficult with a vertical router.  It has many different applications.  Should be an interesting demo!

Carpool if you can. Bring a friend and your items for show and tell.  Come share your knowledge and learn from fellow woodworkers.

Thank you for your kind attention to my blatterings about the Barker Bass, and your interesting questions.

Regarding the coincidental image in the book about floral arrangement, the wedding celebration was for Regis Philbin's daughter. The bassist was Andrew Pfaff; Tony Bennett and Neil Sedaka performed.

Hussain Jiffry is the bassist who played a Barker on the Yanni tour.

The electronic pickups common on acoustic guitars and some electric basses are piezo pickups.
The Breedlove acoustic bass guitar (34" scale) features peizo pickup.

One other story if you'll permit:
I acquired some OG fir that had been staves in 10' diameter vats where, in the Willamette Valley, cherries were stripped of their red coloring so they could become redyed maraschino.

I made four limited-edition basses from this wood and fussed with the details so each had a personality. All sold.
