Hi Folks,

Anyone want a pair of winding sticks? I use some very plain ones made of pine with blue tape on one piece that are much longer than these.

See the picture below. These are made of walnut with maple inserts for sighting, 16" long.

PS: Winding sticks are used to see if your boards are flat. If not, they are "in wind". The sticks exaggerate how twisted the board is. You place the sticks at opposite ends of the board. You sight over one stick looking to see if the exposure of the other stick is the same at both ends. If it is, great! If not you plane along the high diagonals to make the board flat.
