Hi Folks,
For sale is a 12" (blade length) turning saw I made. This has been my go to saw for cutting out saw and plane handles. It uses a 12" saw blade with either 10, 16, or 24 teeth per inch. This one has a 16 tooth blade.
The blade is twice as long as a coping saw blade, but the same width and thickness you typically find in a coping saw. That means you have a longer stroke and can cut much faster.
This one is made of hickory with cocobolo handles, hickory toggle and synthetic sinew cord for the spanish windlass. The design is from Tools for Working Wood (where you get the blades). $40
I have since made another turning saw from beech and now use it instead. Contact me if interested.
