Hello local woodworkers,
We had a fabrication request through the DIYcave for a woodworking project to build a 2026 Toyota Tacoma truck bed shelf (length of bed) made out of marine grade plywood or similar. Our woodworking instructors currently have their hands full, so I am passing it along to the COW community to see if anyone is interested and available in building this for a community member.
His original request was "I’m looking for design and fabrication help with precision measurements for a truck bed shelf for camping/ storage. The truck bed is 6 ft bed has a 1 inch shelf the length of the bed 8 inches above the truck bed floor, same height as flat wheel wells. There are 3 cut outs prefabricated in bed liner for cross members. The goal of this shelf fab is that I can use the 8 inches for storage then place a full length truck bed on top
Of the shelf. I’m envisioning vertical supports at the 3 cross member supports. The length of the inside of bed with gate closed is 73 inches, width is 56.5 inches."
If you are interested in helping Brock out maybe let the group know and reach out to him directly at 541-550-6148.
Thanks,
Emma J
