Fellow woodworkers,

If you missed our 12 April meeting at the DIY Cave, you missed a good one. We had between 35-40 people there  and got a good tour of the facilities.  Kevin introduced the woodshop and demoed the CNC equipment. Steve showed us the cedar strip canoe he has in process.

 

If you didn't make it, I would suggest going to their website and checkout their tool/equipment listings and available classes.  There have been a lot of improvements since our last visit! As woodworkers we always need an extra tool or piece of equipment to finish a project. They also have classes and private instruction if you need to learn a new skill.

I currently have meetings lined up through July 2026. We need volunteers to host meetings for August through December.  We are always looking for new or different meeting sites.  Whether  you have a shop, a  wood related business or work out of your garage. We would like to see what you do and how you do it.  So think about a good time for you and give me a call (541) 350-5984 and we'll get you on the schedule.

I have a Woodpecker Slab Flattening Mill for sale.

It has four rails so you can work on slabs up to about 11 feet long. It is similar to the $1099 kit in photo, but the rails I am selling are longer, 6’, and it has two extra rails. It is in great condition and high quality. Probably less than 10 hours on it.

I purchased for around $1400 and am selling for $450. The sweet Festool router in the photo is unfortunately NOT included. ;)

Cash would be preferred. I am giving you all first dibs before going to Facebook Marketplace for $500.

I am selling because I upgraded to a converted plasma table mill. I work until 1pm Mon-Weds. Other than that I’m pretty flexible. I live in SE Bend.
