Greetings, Local Makers!

The Gravity Experience Park is open now in our former gravel parking
lot. As with previous months, Idea Foundry parking is on the street
(active meters until 10P) and the Gravity parking garage (the one to
the *north* of the building, not the one to the *east*)

Times are the same as every month, start at 7P and go to 9P or so.

For the virtual part of the meetup, we'll once again be in
gather.town. Same link and credentials as before:

Meetup in gather.town @ 7P Wednesday, 13-Mar-2024
https://gather.town/app/uvpKCUYpxqzvPzBq/CORMUG
Password: hotfilament

Please don't feel obligated to come down if you aren't comfortable
around crowds, but at least we have the in-person option.

Cheers,

-ethan

I'll be bringing a couple of projects for show and tell tonight.
One is a fully printable MMU buffer system that I use with my Voron & ERCF.
I also have two designs for filament dry boxes. One is an adjustable TUSH style and holds 4 spools in a $10 storage tote, the other fits a single spool in a $5 cereal container and rotates around the center on 608 bearings and needs adaptor plates for each side of the spool that fit exactly so they won't fall out when you're trying to install the spool.

Since I want to post this second design on Printables and have it fit as many spool types as possible, I'd like to ask the folks attending tonight to bring me their unwanted empty spools so that I can measure and test before releasing the files.
I've determined that 72mm wide spools will not fit (IC3D & KVP) so they would need to be narrower than that (knowing what other spools don't fit would also help). Nothing bigger than 1kg will fit either.

I have working designs for a couple spool types that I already have:
Inland Cardboard
Polymaker Cardboard
Inland Clear Plastic (750g nylon to be precise)

I also have other spool types that I haven't made a design for:
Inland Plastic (do they still sell these or is it all cardboard now?)
Eryone Cardboard
