Depends what kind of probe? I had that type of behavior with the fsr style setup and chucked it.
What are your firmware level non print move speeds? Is the movement shaking the game too much by chance? ( That was triggering the fsr on me which is why I ask)

With Marlin the arm lowers and engages once and gives a similar z-error. I have checked all end-stops with M119 and all is working fine and use G29 to test the ABL each time. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.
