Jim Goodloe, the executive director of the Foundation for Reforned
Theology (based in Richmond) has prepared a day by day guide that will
get one through the Institutes in 2009. It can be found at
http://foundationrt.org/Calvins_Institutes_in_2009.pdf

Thanks, Ernie. This schedule looks a bit different that what Princeton
Seminary is using. I have put their schedule in the Files section of
this forum (institutes-reading-schedule.pdf).

Thanks, Bill. I had not seen the PTS version when I sent this.
Clearly the real challenge to take time regularly to read. So far,
it's been very interesting--especially the preface to Francis I. It
was a whole history lesson in itself.

Yes, just spending time with the material is enriching on many levels.
For me, the extensive references to scripture head the list. My
favorite from yesterday's reading (section 2) was "this is eternal
life: to know the only true God and Jesus Christ whom he has
sent" [John 17:3].
