to Central Jersey Calvin's Institutes Readers
For those of you who haven't studied Calvin much, I'm wondering what
the popular preconceptions are of his thought and doctrines. I think
predestination is the big one, but his doctrine of Total Depravity is
not far behind.

There's the TULIP acronym caricaturing Calvin's theology:
Total depravity Unconditional election Limited atonement Irresistible grace Perseverance of the saints --which are really an expansion of the two stereotypes Bill cites.
