It would be great if you could reply to this post with the best dive
spot you have every enjoyed or even heard about in Florida. Together
we can build a resource for our members of wonderful dive spots.
Please consider that members would want actual addresses so they can
find the locations, or GPS coordinates. It would be nice to have
detailed descriptions and any local life info or what one can expect
to see.

Thank you kindly for sharing and hopefully this is a resource for you
to use as well to find great new dive or snorkel spots in Central
Florida.

My favorite.

Venice Beach, FL Municipal Park, has showers, bath, boardwalk and
covered tables.. and a beautiful sandy beach with low waves most
days. It is FAMOUS for finding Sharks Teeth, prehistoric sharks
teeth.. so many guys fish the areas it is rare if ever to see any real
shark. The water is extra salty and riddled with sand dollars, red
spiney sea urchins and star fish everywhere. It is white and black
sandy mix bottom. The blacker the sand the more sharks teeth you can
expect to find. Just head out to the beach directly from the board
walk and turn right and start combing the bottom in the dark sand
areas. I found 7 whale bones, 3 dolphin bones, 178 sharks teeth in
mako, tiger, many others and even a few Megladon. Some Megladon teeth
found here have values up to $3000.00! That makes this spot a
wonderful dive spot. We have a dive planned there soon.

areas here are only down to 28 ft. so this is an idea spot to do a fun

rent a canoe or bring your boat or jet ski or rent a pontoon there.
Great prices and all you have to do is go directly out and to the left
of the pier.. to the first canal on the left into the residential
area.. follow it down about three blocks till you see the little sign
on the left that says Manatee Area. Tie off to the posts and leave
your boat floating.. or anchor there.. be very careful that when you
put your anchor down you do not throw it. Many manatee have been
injured by thrown anchors breaking ribs and even puncturing lungs from
boaters being careless.
to the right of the posts is a small opening go directly through that
swimming only.. no boats.. thru a little creek to the three sisters
spring behind it.. this secret garden will take your breath away..
bring a water proof camera.. in each spring you should see a few
manatee.. look down sometimes they are sleeping right below you.


I also LOVE<3 West Palm Beach, FL for diving. Our club members get a
great boat special price of only $55 per member for diving, Plus only
$8 per tank for 2 tank dives on the best wrecks and reefs all over
West Palm, Goveners Walk, Double Ledges, Cooridors, there is some
really amazing diving here.. walls of fish that you have to push out
