The following is from Jill Westerlund who will be joining us on August 27. She is providing a treasure trove of resources for free. FYI, Jill's course starts with Snap! (like Scratch), then introduces App Inventor and then Python. She lets the students choose their most comfortable programming environment from these for doing the portfolio project. Even if you don't plan to use these same programming environments, I think you'll find some useful lesson plans and resources (e.g. vocabulary lists, Boolean Bingo, IP layers lesson). She also has some additional resources that you can pay for if that interests you.
After you download the zip file, I encourage you to look through all the folders. The APCS-A folder is mostly for the traditional Java-based CS-A course, however, I encourage you to look at the README on Abstraction Notebooks that she uses in APCSP.
