Dear All Mission Team Leaders, Provincial Area Directors (PAD), and Provincial Area Heads (PAH) (Bros. and Sis.,),
 
Greetings, good evening, and Happy New Year to all!! It was indeed a challenging but yet fulfilling and delightful year of "On Fire Mission Trips" for 2012.
 
We are now tabulating for the Best MIssion Team Award for 2012. The criteria for judging is enumerated below with the attached template for each team to fill-up and submit with your reports (and photos) on or before Thursday, January 31, 2013. For the "Rapport with Hosts" section, as per Bro. Bong, the PAHs and PADs are requested to give their feedbacks on the mission trips undertaken.
 
For International Missions to Laos, we had three (3) missions trips from our Sector as shown (Team Leaders: Bro. Joel Santos for February and September 2012 / Bro. Edwin Cruz for July 2012). Kindly fill-up and submit with your reports (and photos) or or before Thursday, January 31, 2013. We have requested the Laos Core Coordinating Group (LCCG) to give their feekbacks on the mission trips undertaken.
 
Finally, for 2013, we wish to request you to fill-up domestic mission trips on the "Central C MIssion Trips 2013" attachment (Philippines portion only) with the corresponding info on dates/ destination/ activities / and mission teams for 2013. Likewise, deadline for submission is set on Thursday, January 31, 2013. This will be presented and discussed during our Central C Sector Service Meeting tentatively set on Sunday, March 3, 2013.
 
Please feel free to alert me should you have any questions regarding the matter.

Kindly prepare also a report of our 2012 On Fire Mission Volunteers Program.  Please prepare a template for the teams to complete using the criteria we are using for the "Best Mission Team" award, viz:

  • Fund-raising (30%):  Teamwork, Creativity
  • Preparedness and Effectiveness in Mission (30%):  Talk presentation and delivery, Materials completeness
  • Rapport with Hosts (20%):  Comportment and Decorum
  • Learnings from Mission(20%) 
For the Rapport with Hosts" section, kindly ask the PAHs and PADs for feedback on the mission trips undertaken.   Please set a deadline of Jan. 31 for submission.

As discussed yesterday during our Great Adventure Bible 1st session, attached are the mission team assignments for your guidance.

As members of the Mission Core of CFC, we all have to live up to our name, and the calling that we have been privileged to do for the Lord.   We go wherever we are sent - just like the first disciples - so that we may Proclaim God's Greatness.   We are also mindful that this will entail a lot of time, talent and treasure on our part.  But we trust in God's providence because we are Mission Core - we have been empowered by the Holy Spirit to deliver.  We just need to always have an attitude of gratitude, a posture of trust in the Lord and the determination and perseverance that we will do it for our God.  As a popular radio announcer once said, "Kung gugustuhin, gagawa ng paraan, kung ayaw, maraming dahilan." 

And to make it unique and exciting for all, we shall award the Best Mission Team by end of 2013.  Kindly note the simple mechanics of the Best Mission Team that takes off and borrows its concept from popular TV programs like the Amazing Race, the Biggest Loser, America's Best Dance Crew, etc., where your objective as a team is to deliver the best performance; and, in our case, all that we are doing is really for the greater glory of God. 

There is a large amount of teamwork needed in all areas of the mission work - from raising funds so that all the team members could go, to the preparation of the powerpoint slides, to the delivery of the final product, to the decorum of the team while they are in the place of mission, and to the learnings that they have gathered from going on mission.

Essentially, the criteria for judging includes the following, viz:
  • Fund-raising (30%):  Teamwork, Creativity
  • Preparedness and Effectiveness in Mission (30%):  Talk presentation and delivery, Materials completeness
  • Rapport with Hosts (20%):  Comportment and Decorum
  • Learnings from Mission(20%)

Below are the team leaders and assistant team leaders for all the mission teams, viz:

For CFC-Laos, it shall be Bro. JM Yupangco who shall be your contact person.  Bro. Leo Campos and Bro. Bebot Tantuico, kindly take note of the following additional members of your Mission Teams:  Team 3: Pons and Marite Tanjangco.  Team 4: Rene and Angge Henson.

We request everyone in the Mission Core - not just the identified mission team members in the slides - to attend the "Mission Trip...ko 'to"  Orientation Session on April 28 at the Architectural Center (near Powerplant Mall), to be conducted by the Evangelization and Mission Office c/o Bro. Kirby Llaban.

We also encourage everyone to start meeting already as preparations for missions need to have a good lead time.  We just request all of you to copy furnish myself and Bro. JM on all your meeting schedules and email exchanges so that we are continuously apprised.  If you have concerns, please let us know early enough so we can discuss and remedy immediately.
